2025 Symposium: Lawyering for Peace

The 2025 Stefan A. Riesenfeld Memorial Symposium on the topic “Lawyering for Peace," organized by the Berkeley Journal of International Law and supported by the Miller Institute, begins on Monday, March 10. Refreshments will be available from 11 am in the Goldberg Room and the first panel begins at 11:25 am.
Chancellor's Clinical Professor of Law Laurel Fletcher was selected as the 2025 Riesenfeld Award Recipient for her outstanding contributions to the field of international law and human rights. In addition to a day of expert panels and Professor Fletcher's keynote address, former International Court of Justice President, Judge Joan Donoghue, and distinguished barrister, Prof. Philippe Sands, will present a capstone talk at 3:35 pm in Booth Auditorium.
A dinner reception and award presentation will be held at the Faculty Club following the capstone talk.
